This fragrance is very different from the rest of the line. I wouldn't guess it's a Sauvage in a blind test. It's not smoky at all, maybe a tiny bit at the start. It does share the heaviness, though. In the beginning it's mostly woody, citrusy, and spicy, then also nutty, and a bit sour. The spicy nuttiness gives this scent its intriguing character.
The scent is a bit similar to Chanel Egoiste Platinum, but heavier and kind of damp. It's also a bit similar to Giorgio Armani Stronger With You, but richer, more serious, and more complex. Instead of outright sweetness, it features residual musky sweetness typical of Dior. The amount of cardamom is tolerable. This is the Sauvage I like the most, because to be frank, it's not Sauvage at all. The bottle only fits the scent in that it’s dark, as to the colors, I envision brown and green.
The performance is good, especially longevity, although not crazy for a concentrated perfume.
