While many perfume afficionados view this scent as a Creed Aventus clone, it reminds me of Parfums de Marly Percival. Both are woody, herbal (or ambery, if you prefer) ambroxan-based scents. The main difference is that Percival is explicitly citrusy and sour while in Explorer this component, which smells like citrus and apple to me, is more withdrawn. Percival is already super inoffensive and the same could be said about Explorer. It's a very adult fragrance, balanced, discreet, reserved, cool, and quite somber, with barely any trace of sweetness in it, like in hard alcohols, for example gin. The bottle fits the scent pretty well, though it could also be branded as a blue or brown fragrance.
Longevity is good, I can easily smell it on hairy skin after ten hours.
