Is this really similar to Dior Homme Cologne? Yes, yes, and no. In the big scheme of things, yes. When you compare them side by side, also yes, but the differences become apparent, so no. Specifically, Dior smells relaxed, open, airy, and spacious, while in comparison Benz feels stressed and aggressive, contracted, opaque, and flat. The opening is particularly dubious, it made me say "nah".
Zooming out of those details, Mercedes Benz Cologne is not a bad fragrance, but Dior is just better. The difference is subtle, but in my opinion more than the current Fragrantica ratings of 4.44 and 4.42, or even 8.2 vs 8.0 on Parfumo would suggest. The performance is about the same for both (meaning OK longevity, but no projection). I would get Dior every time.
