Hermès Terre d'Hermès

This is what Lalique Encre Noire would smell if a normal person would have made it, instead of an absolute maniac. In other words, for me Terre is a pop version of Encre Noire. I define it this way because Encre Noire is a more primal and natural smell. In Terre, they toned down the incense, took the smoke out, so that it's not instantly recognizable. They kept the citrus/cypress component, which unfortunately smells a bit more chemical to me and can be slightly headache and nausea inducing when you're not in the mood for it. Overall, even though flatter, Terre is probably the better of the two fragrances for most people because it's not as raw.
