I was surprised to find this is a fresher version of Dior Homme Intense. It has woody iris, a sour fruity-flowery aspect, and leather. This fragrance is chill and easier to wear than Intense, and I'd say better overall. One big advantage is that Intense smells questionably for half an hour after application, while this smells good right from the start. As to the shortcomings, I find it a tad too sour for my taste.
Homme Parfum is similar to Givenchy Gentleman EDP Reserve Privee because of the boozy note, and maybe even more similar to Givenchy Gentleman EDP Boisee because of the fruity note. Parfum is more complex and sophisticated, Boisee is simpler and more energetic, but they are very much alike.
Performance is not as great as the charts would suggest, about an average to good EDP, the longevity is certainly not eternal. That surprised me too, I expected better performance from a parfum. Some people say it needs to macerate. Anyway, still an outstanding fragrance.
