A scent somewhat similar to Mancera [Intense] Cedrat Boise in its composition based on orange zest and, to a lesser extent, vanilla, but steering clear of baking associations and instead going floral and salty. I wouldn't call it a sports scent, at least initially, it's too full-bodied and oily. This side gives a relaxed, lazy vibe, but the fragrance also has a sharp, fresh aspect. It evokes an image of sailing on a small boat, or chilling on a wild, rocky coast with sun covered by clouds and the breeze blowing, with citrus trees not far away.
Not all is breezy, however. The fragrance has an unpleasant piercing top that feels like a thousand tiny needles sticking in your sinuses. It also fades very quickly from the initial expression, leaving mostly that sharp top. Combine that two aspects and you have a problem, or a proper sports scent, depending on how you look at it.
If you like Allure, you have to check out Missoni Wave, which is almost identical, but better with respect to the problem described above, AND cheaper.
Some people seem to think Allure is similar to Versace Pour Homme. In my opinion, the similarity is superficial, in the sharp citrus aspect, otherwise they are rather different.

Great review as usual ! I love the images / scenery you are invoking and it is quite accurate too.
What is your opinion on performance ?
I haven't smelled this one yet, I have its clone from Maison Alhambra, Alpine Homme sport ! for just 16$ .
